The build-up started almost three weeks ago and tomorrow “The Great Vodafone Warriors Charity Day” comes to life at Mount Smart Stadium.
Various fundraising initiatives have been launched along the way, all serving to boost the pool beyond $40,000 so far with much more in prospect through a range of other activities at the stadium tomorrow.
There’s a monster raffle with 31 prizes available, two DROPIT auctions (for a Suzuki Vitara and a Vodafone Warriors fan pack) plus auctions and raffles in the Corporate Lounge.
As well as that game day tickets sales will add more to the total as will purchases of beverages throughout the day, courtesy of a joint contribution of $1.00 for every drink sold from stadium caterer EPICURE and Independent Liquor. And still available will be the text-a-donation service launched by Vodafone ($3.00 goes towards the charity day fund every time supporters text WARRIORS to 4483 so keep texting as many times as you like).
After the big NRL clash between the Vodafone Warriors and Melbourne, Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George will reveal just how much has been raised for the four beneficiaries Ronald McDonald House, Shine, KidsCan and Paralympics New Zealand.
