One New Zealand Warriors halfback Jett Cleary has requested and been granted a release from the last year of his contract to return home to Australia.
The 21-year-old joined the Warriors in late 2024 on a three-year deal until 2027 but will depart at the end of the 2026 campaign.
“We were keen for Jett to stay but we accept his reasons for wanting to go home,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.
"We look forward to him finishing the season well and we wish him the best for what lies ahead.”
