The season is on the line this weekend for the top two teams during the NRL's regular season.

The Sydney Roosters took out the minor premiership while the Manly Sea Eagles finished second but both stumbled at the first finals hurdle last week.

The Sea Eagles slumped to a comprehensive 24-40 loss against South Sydney while the Roosters were edged 19-18 by the gallant Penrith in a stunning contest.

To stay alive the Roosters have to account for North Queensland tonight while the battered Sea Eagles will have to quell the resurgent Canterbury-Bankstown.

Tomorrow the Vodafone Junior Warriors take aim at a spot in the final four teams when they face the NYC's minor premier Newcastle.
