Six One New Zealand Warriors players are among the finalists for the 2026 peer-voted Players’ Dream Team to be announced tonight.
Run by the RLPA (Rugby League Players’ Association), the team is voted on by players from across the NRL’s 17 clubs.
The Warriors provided two of the final four for the two prop spots in co-captain James Fisher-Harris and Jackson Ford, despite missing much of the season with a pectoral injury; in 23 appearances Fisher-Harris averaged 140 metres and 30 tackles while Ford averaged 154 metres and 39 tackles in his 15 games.
Erin Clark, named at loose forward in the Dream Team last year, is again in contention this season. The only player to appear in each of the Warriors’ 26 games, he averaged 134 metres and 27 tackles a game while he totalled 1217 post-contact metres.
The influential Wayde Egan is one of the three finalists for the hooker’s position after a campaign in which he played in 25 of the team’s 26 matches. He averaged 50 metres and 31 tackles a game, finishing the season with 13 try assists and 15 line break assists.
Chanel Harris-Tavita is a contender for the standoff’s spot. In 22 games he averaged 48 metres and 16 tackles producing 15 try assists and 14 line break assists as well as scoring eight tries.
Among the three finalists for the impact position is middle forward Demitric Vaimauga. In his 22 matches off the bench he averaged 75 metres and 19 tackles including a total of 606 post-contact metres plus four tries and 49 tackle breaks.
