New Zealand Warriors hooker Wayde Egan and loose forward Erin Clark have tonight been singled out among the season’s best by being named in the peer-voted 2026 Players’ Dream Team.
Clark has been honoured for the second straight year ahead of South Sydney’s Cameron Murray and Penrith’s Isaah Yeo.
Egan makes the team for the first time with players across the NRL’s clubs ranking him the year’s top hooker ahead of the other finalists Blayke Brailey (Cronulla Sutherland) and Harry Grant (Melbourne).
The ever-present Clark was the only player to appear in each of the Warriors’ 26 games this year after also playing all 25 in his return to the club last season. He averaged 134 metres and 27 tackles a game in 2026 while he totalled 1217 post-contact metres, scored six tries and featured in six try assists.
Egan, who is closing in on 150 games for the Warriors and 200 for his career, missed just one game when he was rested for the final regular season match against Manly Warringah. He averaged 50 metres and 31 tackles a game while he finished the season with 13 try assists and 15 line break assists.
Four other Warriors players were finalists but missed out on positions – props James Fisher-Harris and Jackson Ford, standoff Chanel Harris-Tavita and impact forward Demitric Vaimauga.
