Six new signings will line up for the One New Zealand Warriors in tomorrow’s NRLW trial against 2025 premiership winners the Brisbane Broncos at One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch (11.00am kick-off).
In the first rugby league match to be played at the new stadium, the Warriors will have two Broncos grand final winners in their starting side with Gayle Broughton at stand-off and Annetta Nuuausala at prop.
Broughton will be playing for the club for the first time while Nuuausala is beginning her second stint as a Warrior after being a foundation player in 2018.
Named on one wing is ex- Farah Palmer Cup rugby union representative Ocean Tierney. Hailing from the tiny Northland settlement of Tinopai, she’s on a development contract.
Three new signings are listed on the extended bench in former Wallaroos rugby union international Jay Huriwai and teenager Natalia Hickling – both halfbacks – as well as Auckland Anastasia Seneke, a 28-year-old mother of four signed on a supplementary contract.
Kiwi international and former Sydney Roosters front rower Mya Hill-Moana was signed for last season but will have her first outing for the club after being on maternity leave last year.
