JFC Team List: Capper and Thompson back on deck

Second rower Kahu Capper and halfback Jack Thompson bolster the One New Zealand Warriors for their round nine Jersey Flegg Cup (under-21) clash against Parramatta at the James Hardie Centre of Excellence in Kellyville, Sydney, on Saturday (11.00am kick-off NZT, 1.00pm NZT).

Capper returns after missing the last two games against the Sea Eagles and the Silktails while Thompson was on New South Wales Cup duty last weekend.

Thompson’s return at halfback pushes Maui Winitana-Patelesio to standoff with Capper partnering Connor Bowden in the second row.

There’s also a change in the centres with Nganatatafu Vake in for Sio Kali who has been named on the bench for the club’s New South Wales Cup side.

The Warriors are coming off a record 66-6 win over the Silktails which has them in seventh spot on 10 points with a 5-3 record. They are well clear of all other teams for the most points scored (298) and the biggest points for and against differential (140).

The Eels are just two points ahead of the Warriors with a 5-2 record and also come off a big win after beating the Sea Eagles 52-6 last week.
