Maxigesic Recovery Report: Three players back this week

One New Zealand Warriors halves Luke Metcalf and Te Maire Martin plus front rower Tanner Stowers-Smith have been cleared to return to action this week.

Martin has been sidelined since breaking the fibula in his right leg playing for the Māori in the All Stars match in Hamilton in February.

He was initially set to make his comeback in round 11-12.

Metcalf is available after picking up a hamstring injury in the round five encounter with the Sharks, just his second game back from ACL surgery.

And Stowers-Smith has recovered from the hamstring injury he suffered in the win over Melbourne forcing him to miss the last two victories over Gold Coast and the Dolphins.

While they come off the injury list prop Mitchell Barnett, second rower Marata Niukore and centre Ali Leiataua are ruled out as they follow concussion protocols along with back rower Morgan Gannon.

Fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad’s planned return from his neck injury has been delayed another week.
