Coming off a vastly-improved effort against North Sydney, the One New Zealand Warriors now face another exacting challenge when they take on the unbeaten Sydney Roosters in their third-round SG Ball Cup (under-19) match on the Central Coast on Sunday (12.00pm kick-off local time, 2.00pm NZT).

Coach Grant Pocklington has retained the same starting line-up used against the Bears for this week’s battle against a Roosters side which has picked up wins over Canterbury-Bankstown (36-26) and the Balmain Tigers (13-12).

After fading against Parramatta in a 20-32 loss, the Warriors found much better form in dismissing the Bears 48-12 last Sunday.

Their completions were improved (71 per cent) as they completely dominated metres gained 1442-642, post contact metres 617-279, tackle breaks 73-16 and line breaks 12-2 while they missed only 16 tackles and just six errors.

With a win and loss, the One New Zealand Warriors sit eighth in the 16-team competition with a points for an against differential of plus 24.
