Roosters winger Ryan Hall has successfully contested his grade one dangerous contact charge at the judiciary despite being free to play if he had entered an early guilty plea.

Hall was found not guilty of the charge at the judiciary on Tuesday night.

Because he qualifies for the seven-year incident-free discount Hall was never facing suspension, just the difference between 50 and 75 carry-over points.

Roosters team-mate Jake Friend also received grade-one dangerous contact charge but will take the early plea and 75 carry-over points, avoiding a one-match ban.

Bulldogs halfback Lachlan Lewis will serve a one-week suspension and pay a $550 fine after being hit with a pair of high-tackle charges by the match review committee.

The first of his careless high-tackle charges was a grade two offence for a tackle on Cameron Munster and would have resulted in a two-week ban if he had gone to the judiciary and lost.

The second offence – a tackle on Josh Addo-Carr – was deemed grade one and thus attracted a fine.

Warriors forward Jack Hetherington also saved himself a week on the sideline by taking the early plea.

Hetherington, on loan from Penrith, was facing a five-match suspension after being handed a grade three careless high tackle charge because of added loading from two previous suspensions within the last two years and 80 carry-over points against his name.

He will miss four weeks for the tackle which forced Manly prop Martin Taupau from the field in the 52nd minute of the match at Lottoland.

In the other charge to come out of Friday's matches, Manly utility back Lachlan Croker avoided suspension with an early guilty plea to a grade one dangerous contact charge.

Ford facing ban over tripping charge

Dragons forward Jackson Ford also entered an early guilty plea and will miss two games after he was charged with tripping Roosters five-eighth Luke Keary.

Ford was hit with a grade-three offence for his tackle, in which he upended Keary by using his leg, during St George Illawarra's loss to the Roosters in Wollongong on Thursday night.

He would have received a three-game ban if he unsuccessfully contested the charge.

Titans utility Tyrone Peachey has been charged with a grade-one careless high tackle for a hit on Cowboys prop Jordan McLean in the 59th minute of Sunday's win on the Gold Coast.

He is facing a fine of $850-$1150.
