Positive finish for Flegg side

Their finals hopes were already gone but the Vodafone Junior Warriors ended their campaign on a bright note with a 22-18 Jersey Flegg Cup win over Wests Tigers at Mount Smart Stadium on Saturday.

With wing Edward Kosi crossing in the first minute, the home side was rampant in the opening exchanges as two more tries were added in the opening 12 minutes.

The Vodafone Junior Warriors went to the break 18-4 ahead and stretched to 22-4 with a Tom Ale try early in the second half.

The visitors came back with three second half tries but the Vodafone Junior Warriors held firm to close out the contest.
