Canterbury Cup and Jersey Flegg sides named

Nathan Cayless and his Canterbury Cup NSW side will be on the hunt for their first win of the season when they square off against the Blacktown Sea Eagles at HE Laybutt Field in Sydney this Sunday.

After a tough loss to the Western Suburbs Magpies last week, Cayless has made several changes to his squad heading into round three.

Cole Waaka has been handed a starting role in the centres, while Adam Pompey has moved from the wing to fill the other centre position.

Clayton Williams, meanwhile, will start at prop with the experienced Ligi Sao named at lock.

Like the Vodafone Warriors, the Sea Eagles are looking for their first win of the season this week.

The match kicks off on Sunday at 5pm (NZT).

Fresh from a thrilling second half comeback to secure a 28-all draw with the Wests Tigers last week, the Vodafone Warriors’ Jersey Flegg team will look to go one better against the Manly Sea Eagles this weekend.

After filling in admirably for Paul Turner in the halves last week, Sione Moala has retained his starting spot while Emanuel Tuimavave-Gerrard will return from injury on the wing.

Coach Greg Boulous has also opted to stick with his starting back-rowers, Brody Tamarua, Isaiah Vagana and captain Tyler Slade after strong performances from the trio against the Tigers.

The match at HE Laybutt Field is scheduled to kick off at 3pm (NZT).
