Seven Friday night games in 2019

Friday night football will be a strong feature once again when the Vodafone Warriors head into their 25th season in 2019.

A total of seven Friday night games have been confirmed in the NRL draw, four of them at Mount Smart Stadium and a fifth in Wellington for the Vodafone Warriors' home game against the Sharks.

The first comes as early as the fourth round when the club hosts the Gold Coast Titans on Friday, April 5 but not until August will there be more Friday footy fare at Mount Smart Stadium with three games in the space of five rounds.

There are back-to-back Friday fixtures against Canberra (August 2) and Manly (August 9) before a blockbuster for the final home game of the regular season against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on August 30.

The fifth Friday night game in New Zealand is the Vodafone Warriors' encounter with the Sharks at Westpac Stadium on July 19.

"We love our Friday night footy," said Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George.

"It gives our season at home a real point of difference. For our corporate members, the Friday night fixtures are an ideal fit. The end of the week really lends itself to creating a party feel to our game day programme."

There are also two Friday night games among the Vodafone Warriors' matches across the Tasman – Penrith on May 17 and Gold Coast on June 14.
