Playmaker Shaun Johnson spoke to media about departing legend Manu Vatuvei, his influence on him as a team mate and friend and Friday night's game against the Panthers.

Johnson highlighted Vatuvei's impact on him both as a fan and as a player coming through the club's developemnt system. 

“Growing up being so rugby league minded and Warriors was everything as a kid. Manu along with a couple of others was at the centre of that.”

Johnson didn't hold back on how he felt about the vetran winger.

“I just love him as the person."

“That only thing that sticks out with me when I think of Manu is his laugh.”

“So good to be around.”

“I’ve always admired Manu.”
