Taking TAB Clubrooms off-site to 'Chasing the Fox'

Ever since the ‘Chasing the Fox’ celebrity golf event was launched in 2022 the One New Zealand Warriors have been a part of it – and this year they’re taking their involvement to another level.

So much so the Warriors and sponsor the TAB are setting up their popular TAB Clubrooms hospitality offering to the Ryan Fox-hosted Kiwibank ‘Chasing the Fox’ at the Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club on Friday, December 11.

The venture will see the partners replicating their usual rugby league hospitality experience from Go Media Stadium at a different kind of event promoting their brands and engaging customers with a summertime feel.

Former One New Zealand Warriors including Shaun Johnson, Awen Guttenbeil and Sione Faumuina will be there on a day to again celebrate Fox’s stunning victory in the British Open championship at Royal Birkdale in July.

“We’re so excited to partner with ‘Chasing the Fox’ by bringing one of our premier hospitality experiences to a great sporting event over the summer period,” said One New Zealand Warriors commercial sales manager Thomas Harris.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for our brand to show up in a different environment to what we’re used to, an opportunity to connect with our corporate customers over the offseason and be part of something fun and different outside the NRL season.”

Kiwibank ‘Chasing the Fox’ is played on a six-hole festival layout built for 6000 people with live music, food, bars and brand activations across the site.

“The Warriors have backed ‘Chasing the Fox’ from the start in 2022,” said ‘Chasing the Fox’ promoter Nick Randell.

“We set out to build a different kind of golf event. It’s about entertainment and sport – and the Warriors are leaders at exactly that.

“Bringing their TAB Clubrooms to the final hole adds something new as we continue to grow and evolve the event. It also gives Warriors fans a unique offseason experience to wrap up the year.”

The event sees teams drawn from across New Zealand and Australia sport and entertainment take on Fox over six holes on his home course at his own game.

‘Chasing the Fox’ has been created to show golf differently - faster, louder and open to people who have never followed the game as much as those who do.
