Three of the NRL’s most exciting performers are now set to line up at the 2017 Downer NRL Auckland Nines following confirmation today that Gold Coast’s Jarryd Hayne has joined Vodafone Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson and North Queensland playmaker Johnathan Thurston for the February 4-5 extravaganza at Eden Park.
It will be the first time the ‘Hayne Plane’ has appeared at the NRL Nines.
Johnson, now on tour with the Kiwis, is hoping to appear at the tournament for the fourth successive year having captained the Vodafone Warriors in each of the first three events.
Thurston has also been named to line up at the Nines for the first time.
