Just over a week out from their 2016 Women in League match, the Vodafone Warriors will count down to the occasion by running a FREE ‘Train with the Kiwi Ferns’ clinic at Mount Smart Stadium this Sunday (July 24).

It’s an awesome opportunity for young girls aged between five and 13 years old to join New Zealand’s outstanding Kiwi Ferns.

Running from 8.30am-12.00pm, the clinic will feature skills and drills run by some of the world’s best women’s players.

Vodafone Warriors NRL ambassador – and Kiwi Fern – Georgia Hale stresses the clinic is open to all girls aged between 5-13 regardless of whether they have any rugby league experience.

The Kiwi Ferns underlined their status by beating the Australian Jillaroos in a best-of-three series at the Downer NRL Auckland Nines in February and then following up the success with a superb 26-16 Anzac Test victory in Newcastle in May.

A number of the players will be on deck for this Sunday’s clinic, an appetiser to the Vodafone Warriors’ Women in League NRL clash against Penrith at Mount Smart Stadium on Saturday, July 30 (5.00pm kick-off; match day sponsor: Harvey Norman).

A special highlight that day will be a curtain-raiser between the Akarana and Counties Manukau women’s representative teams (12.40pm kick-off) which will showcase a number of Kiwi Ferns.

Register now at community@warriors.kiwi to secure your place alongside the Kiwi Ferns on Sunday. Participants should assemble at the Members’ Clubrooms at the northern end of the main field at Mount Smart Stadium.

Please bring your own training clothing, boots, mouth guard, drink bottle and a great attitude.
