Vodafone Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson, the 2015 Golden Boot Award winner, has been named the Harbour Sport Sportsman of the Year.

Johnson excelled for the Kiwis in their Four Nations triumph late last year culminating in him being awarded the Golden Boot.

He made 18 NRL appearances for the Vodafone Warriors this season, brought up his 100th NRL appearance and scored a total of 130 points before his campaign was ended when he broke his left ankle while scoring a try against Manly.

During the season Johnson was also outstanding in the Kiwis’ 26-12 Anzac Test win over the Kangaroos in Brisbane.

Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko took out the major honours at the Massey University Harbour Sport Excellence Awards for the third straight year.
