Vodafone Warriors captain Simon Mannering finished the 2014 NRL season with an exceptional nine tries, the most he has ever scored in one campaign since becoming a specialist forward.

The haul matched his nine tries in 17 appearances in 2006, his first major season in the days when he was used in the centres.

With his hauls this year the 28-year-old Mannering lifted his career tally to 52 in 212 matches, seventh on the Vodafone Warriors' all-time list behind Manu Vatuvei (135), Stacey Jones (77), Francis Mel (60), Clinton Toopi (57), Lance Hohaia (57) and Jerome Ropati (54).
