Clark recommits to club until end of the decade

One New Zealand Warriors loose forward Erin Clark has signed a two-year contract extension keeping him at the club until the end of the decade.

The 28-year-old Manurewa Marlins junior returned home last year from the Gold Coast Titans on a three-year deal to the end of the 2027 season.

Making his debut for the One New Zealand Warriors in 2017, he has appeared in all 31 games since rejoining the club last season.

“Erin has absolutely thrived since coming back home,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.

“Being back in New Zealand and at his original club was a huge attraction for him. He has shown what it means to him with his outstanding performances and the consistency he is providing every game.”

Clark finished his homecoming season by picking up two major individual accolades. He was voted the Dally M lock (loose forward) of the year while his peers also named him the best #13 in the RLPA Dream Team.

“Erin has been exceptional ever since he returned,” said One New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster.

“When we lost Tohu Harris and then Dylan Walker last year, Erin stepped straight in to fill the role at 13.

“He’s been fantastic, I love what he does for us and he fits in so well with the boys. The thing is he has even more to give. He’s a great asset.”

Following his Warriors debut, Clark didn’t feature again in the NRL until he found his way back three years later with the Titans, going on to play 94 games for the club mainly as an interchange player.

In his award-winning 2025 season, Clark averaged 147 metres and 34 tackles a game with a total of 1451 post-contact metres, 66 tackle breaks and 37 off loads.

He rounded off 2025 with impressive displays for the Kiwis in their title-winning Pacific Championships campaign.

On Saturday he lines up against his former Gold Coast side along with fellow ex-Titans Tanah Boyd and Alofi'ana Khan-Pereira.
