GOLD COAST TITANS v VODAFONE WARRIORS

Cbus Super Stadium, Robina

5.30pm, Saturday, May 24

Referees: Gavin Morris and Henry Perenara

David Fusitu’a will make his fourth NRL appearance after an ankle injury ruled Kevin Locke out of his first start of the season in tonight’s 11th-round match against Gold Coast in Robina (5.30pm kick-off local time; 7.30pm NZT).

Fusitu’a (19) was initially selected to start for the club’s New South Wales Cup side today but travelled with the NRL side instead after Locke tweaked an ankle at training this week.

Locke had been chosen on the right wing following two interchange appearances against Canberra and Canterbury-Bankstown.

Shaun Johnson has been confirmed to start despite sitting out training earlier in the week with a groin complaint.

The Vodafone Warriors have won their last six clashes against the Titans.

Tonight’s match moves captain Simon Mannering within one appearance of a major milestone double – 200 NRL games and 100 games as captain – which is set to be achieved, fittingly enough, in the Vodafone Warriors’ first match of the year at Mount Smart Stadium tomorrow week (June 1) against Newcastle.

Former Titans hooker Nathan Friend makes his 49th appearance for the Vodafone Warriors tonight.
