As a 21-year-old NRL debuitant, John Palavi has been in the media spotlight this week, not least in a special feature by veteran television reporter Michael Holland on TV One's Seven Sharp on Friday night.

Palavi's NYC career ranks among the longest since the competition started, spanning four seasons (2009-2012). He was signed up on a fulltime NRL contract in 2012 and went close to making his debuit when he was called on as 18th man during that season.

Last year was spent with the now-defunct Auckland Vuilcans in the New South Wales Cup but tiomorrow provides the breakthrough he had always dreamed of, playing for the Vodafone Warriors in the NRL.
