Les Catalans Dragons, the Sydney Roosters and the Vodafone Warriors are the clubs with the most representatives among the 14 national sides named for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

The Vodafone Warriors have 14 of their current players selected by four countries New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands while new signings Sam Tomkins (England) and Jayson Bukuya (Fiji) also feature giving the club a strong connection with 16 players in six sides. Some former Vodafone Warriors have also been chosen.

The Catalans Dragons have the highest representation. A run through the 14 teams submitted shows an astonishing 19 players from the Super League club have been chosen; all but four of them will be playing for France, comfortably the most players named by one country from one club.

The Roosters are next with 17 players selected following Sonny Bill Williams belated addition to the Kiwi squad. The Roosters are represented in seven of the 14 teams, the most by one club.

A total of 94 clubs are represented among the 330-plus players.

While 24-man squads are stipulated, Toa Samoa initially released 26 names. That squad included ex-Vodafone Warrior Leeson Ah Mau, former Kiwi Junior Sau and Frank Winterstein but there was no sign of former Kiwi captain Roy Asotasi. However, the team listed on the official Rugby League World Cup website includes Asotasi while Ah Mau, Sau and Winterstein are all missing.
