SKYCITY will continue to have its name emblazoned on the back of the Vodafone Warriors NRL jersey as well as being the venue for all major club events.

Over the past fortnight the Vodafone Warriors NRL and NYC awards dinners have been held in the SKYCITY Convention Centre and on Sunday Vodafone Warriors Simon Mannering, Thomas Leuluai and Ben Matulino will join members and fans when they gather at Sammys Place for a live screening of the Vodafone Junior Warriors NYC grand final against Penrith (5.45pm kick-off NZT) and the NRL premiership decider between the Sydney Roosters and Manly (9.15pm NZT).

SKYCITY CEO Nigel Morrison said SKYCITY was proud to be associated with first-class sport in New Zealand and one of the highlights of this was the companys major partnership role with the Vodafone Warriors.

At SKYCITY we are extremely proud of what we contribute in the way of community sponsorships, including our long-term association with the Vodafone Warriors, he said.

Not only are they extremely exciting to watch keeping us on the edge of our seats each week but they clearly value the support of their members, fans, local communities and sponsors and uphold great values year-in year-out.

As a 13-year partner of the Vodafone Warriors, we have an excellent relationship with the team and their management. I would like to thank CEO Wayne Scurrah, the board, team management, coaching staff and players for what has been an extremely positive relationship. We look forward to the next two years.

Scurrah said the Vodafone Warriors were thrilled to extend their relationship with SKYCITY.

Weve had a fantastic association with SKYCITY and really appreciate the level of commitment they continue to show us, he said.

Its much more than a sponsorship; its a real partnership and friendship we have between us.

Its exciting for us being able to hold so many events at SKYCITY, Aucklands home of entertainment. Not just our awards dinners and major announcements are held there but also our post-match functions, special members-only events, workshops with our sponsors and corporate members, away game functions and more.

Recently Vodafone Warriors head coach Matthew Elliott and halfback Shaun Johnson joined celebrity chef Sean Connolly in a Fathers Day promotion at The Grill to learn how to cook the perfect steak.

Another feature of the relationship between SKYCITY and the Vodafone Warriors is the Team Store which is located down the escalator within the Gift Shop at the entrance to the Sky Tower.

Now fully fitted out the Team Store is stocked with loads of end of season specials including the Vodafone Warriors official Canterbury of New Zealand playing kit and training gear plus a wide range of supporter products. With 40 per cent off all CCC gear in-store, bargains include adults jerseys selling for just $111 (were $185), kids jerseys at $72 (were $120), shorts $42 (were $70) and Letterman jackets $132 (were $220). The store is open every day from 9.00am until late.
