New Zealand's 19-man squad for the 2013 Anzac Test is due to be announced soon with Sydney Roosters back rower Sonny Bill Williams the latest player ruled out. Photo: Photosport.

Williams turned in an exceptional two-try performance in the Roosters' 38-0 demolition of Canterbury-Bankstown on Friday night but his club's medical staff have withdrawn him from selection citing a knee injury.

He becomes the latest big name unavailable for next Friday night's clash against the Kangaroos in Canberra.

Of the team that played Australia last October, former captain Benji Marshall and utility Gerard Beale are both out with injury while prop Sam Kasiamo hasn't played yet this year as he recovers from injury and utility Elijah Taylor is sidelined with a rib injury at the moment. Also out of contention is centre Krisnan Inu (suspended).

Vodafone Warriors Simon Mannering has already been selected as the new Kiwi captain.
