It was a night of nights for the One New Zealand Warriors at the annual Dally M Awards with Andrew Webster, James Fisher-Harris, Wayde Egan, Erin Clark and Taine Tuaupiki all feted following the club’s record-breaking 2026 NRL season.
For the second time in four seasons, Webster was named the Dally M coach of year after guiding the Warriors to the finals for the third time in four campaigns.
He headed off Penrith’s Ivan Cleary and Newcastle’s Justin Holbrook following a year in which the Warriors finished level with the Panthers on top of the ladder at the end of the regular season.
In doing so they made history with the most wins for the club in a season (18), the fewest losses (6) and the most points scored (728). The tally of 728 points was also the most for any team this season.
Recognised as the Dally M Captain of the Year was Fisher-Harris after his second season with the club heading off Penrith’s Nathan Cleary and Newcastle’s Kalyn Ponga.
Named the winner of the Warriors’ supreme award – the Simon Mannering Medal – two weeks ago, Fisher-Harris was also voted one of the props in the Dally M Team of the Year alongside fellow Kiwi international Naufahu Whyte (Roosters).
An exceptional night for the club continued with richly-deserved recognition for Egan when he was named at hooker followed by the outstanding Clark being voted the Dally M loose forward of the year for the second season running.
Tackle of the Week: Speedy Saab stopped by the Taine Train
Earlier fullback Taine Tuaupiki was the winner of the tackle of the year for his remarkable effort to run down Manly Warringah speedster Jason Saab in the Warriors’ 31-30 round 27 win at Go Media Stadium.
Cleary secured the Dally M Medal as the NRL player of the year. Despite being sidelined for 10 games of the regular season, Warriors prop Jackson Ford still finished seventh on 39 points.
There was special acknowledgement for the One New Zealand Warriors in the NRLW awards with captain Apii Nicholls accepting the Provan-Summons Award for leading a haka for Broncos legend Ali Brigginshaw in her farewell home game at Totally Workwear Stadium.
Warriors players were joined by Brisbane's Māori players in making the special presentation for Brigginshaw's truly unforgettable.
