NRLW Team Update: Takimoana replaces injured Ikenasio
Winger Payton Takimoana returns to the lineup for the One New Zealand Warriors’ round 10 NRLW encounter with the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks at Go Media Stadium tomorrow (2.45pm kick-off).
She replaces Tysha Ikenasio who has been ruled out with an ankle injury after starting all nine matches so far this season.
Apart Ikenasio, captain Apii Nicholls and forward Laishon Albert-Jones have also been left out of the extended squad named on Tuesday.
Interchange front rower Ivana Lauitiiti misses the last two matches of the One New Zealand Warriors’ NRLW regular season following a dangerous contact charge.
In her absence a slight reshuffle was made to the bench with Metanoia Fetalaiga called in for Lauitiiti.

Starting again at fullback after her debut in last week’s 14-18 loss to the Dragons is Anastasia Sekene while left winger Lavinia Taukalaliku takes hot try-scoring form into her fourth game of the season coming off a double last weekend which lifted her tally to eight tries in three games.
The Warriors slipped out of the top six with Sunday’s loss and now face a must-win clash against the Sharks who fell to the bottom of the ladder with their ninth-round defeat by the Roosters.
