Maxigesic Recovery Report: NRL and NRLW squads

One New Zealand Warriors halfback Te Maire Martin faces another two weeks on the sideline after picking up a hamstring strain two days ahead of the club’s Indigenous Round clash against Penrith last Friday night.

Martin is expected to be available again for the round 26 encounter with the Newcastle Knights at Go Media Stadium on August 30 meaning he’s set to miss the Warriors’ next two games against the Broncos this Saturday and the Rabbitohs on August 22.

While Martin joins the injury list, front rower Demitric Vaimauga has been cleared to return after missing the last two games against the Titans and Panthers with a rib injury.

Front rower Jackson Ford (pectoral) remains on track to return in the final rounds.

Only two players are now in the NRLW squad’s casualty ward.

Prop Matekino Gray has recovered from a foot injury which has sidelined her for whole season so far.

Middle forward Laishon Albert-Jones is set to be cleared next week from the calf injury she suffered in the round one match against the Bulldogs in Hamilton.
