With two months of the NRL regular season still to go, the One New Zealand Warriors have completed a grand slam of sell outs for every one of their 11 home games on New Zealand soil this year.
The clean sweep was confirmed today when the last available tickets were snapped up for the round 26 match against the Newcastle Knights at Go Media Stadium on August 30.
It emulates the One New Zealand Warriors’ total sell-out of 11 games in 2024, the first time in the competition’s history that a club had achieved the feat.
This year’s achievement encompasses nine games at Go Media Stadium and one each at Wellington’s Hnry Stadium and Christchurch’s One New Zealand Stadium.
The exceptional run of full houses is unrivalled across the competition or for any sporting team in New Zealand.
“It says so much about our amazing fans,” said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.
“Our wish is to give supporters a team they can be proud of and they demonstrate their loyalty by showing up game after game. It’s absolutely incredible and we’re so grateful to them for the way they show their passion for and love for their team.
“We’ve had fantastic game days throughout the country starting with the terrific energy created every time the One New Zealand Warriors play at Go Media Stadium.
“On top of that we’ve had two momentous occasions taking games to Wellington and Christchurch with a capacity crowds at Hnry Stadium and most recently, One New Zealand Stadium.
“It’s not just the crowds and the atmosphere they create around each game but the way the fans are embracing every part of the club.
“We’ve seen amazing scenes at the pop-up merchandise stores we’ve opened in a number of centres as well as thousands of fans marching to our games wearing our colours loud and proud. Honestly, it’s difficult to put into words what we’re seeing with the way people throughout the country and in Australia are showing what the club means to them.”
In the four seasons since returning from the Covid exile, the One New Zealand Warriors have sold out 41 of the 46 matches played on home soil.
Since the round 24 clash against the Sea Eagles on 2024, 36 of the last 37 games have been sell outs, the only exception being the second-round encounter with Manly Warringah following the loss to Canberra in Las Vegas last year.
With attendances for the four remaining regular season matches still to be posted, this year’s aggregate attendance for games in New Zealand is set to be a record.
