GWM Game Day Guide: It's so good to be back home!

After a 56-day drought, the wait is over – the One New Zealand Warriors are back at Go Media Stadium and marking the occasion with a Saturday special tripleheader.

With the stadium sold out well in advance, the football action kicks off with the Jersey Flegg Cup (under-21) clash between the Warriors and the Sharks at 2.45pm followed by the New South Wales Cup encounter with Cronulla Sutherland’s feeder club Newtown at 4.45pm.

Then it’s the main event at 7.30pm when the second-placed Warriors take on the sixth-ranked Sharks in what will be a tough round 15 contest.

This will be the first time the home side has played at Go Media Stadium since beating the Gold Coast Titans 28-20 in front of another packed crowd on April 18.

That was round seven, a result that lifted the Warriors back to second on the ladder, a position they’ve held ever since.

In the 56 days away from Go Media Stadium they’ve won two ‘home’ games against the Dolphins in Wellington and the Broncos in Brisbane, beaten the Eels and the Dragons on the road, lost an away thriller to the Panthers and had two byes.

Saturday’s homecoming will, as usual, be about much more than the on-field action.

A special feature will be shining the spotlight on the club’s 2026 NRLW squad with the players being introduced to the crowd at 6.45pm. The Warriors kick off their season against the Bulldogs at FMG Stadium Waikato in Hamilton on Sunday, July 5.

There’ll be so much to do around the stadium including the One New Zealand Sign Making Station, Chemist Warehouse Passing Wall and Anytime Fitness Hanging Bar Challenge all offering epic prizes. Don’t forget to grab a 2026 Warriors poster from

the Flava Unit and a flag at any gate, thanks to One New Zealand.

A must-visit on Saturday is the new V Legen-dairy activation hub where you can get a fresh cut from the barber shop and be in with a chance to win some V merchandise.

The NFL Las Vegas Raiders will also be in attendance with a chance to meet some of the players in the GWM Fan Zone.

And look out for the much-anticipated feature of every home game – the halftime show, this week presented by Flava and GWM.
