NSW Cup Team List: Milestones celebrated by pair

New South Wales Cup milestones are being celebrated by One New Zealand Warriors players Eddie Ieremia-Toeava and Geronimo Doyle.

Second rower Ieremia-Toeava, only 21 and already in his fourth season in the competition, brought up his 50th NSW Cup appearance in last Saturday’s round six clash against Melbourne.

Fullback Doyle, the squad’s senior player at the age of 29, joins the 50-game club in today’s round seven encounter with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles at Go Media Stadium (2.15pm kick-off).

After 33 games for Swinton and Whitehaven in England in 2021-2022, Doyle linked up with the Warriors in their homecoming season in 2023.

The Warriors go into today’s clash driven to make amends for last week’s performance against the Storm when they were forced to play catch-up after falling 0-24 behind inside the first 30 minutes.

They made a big recovery to be just 18-24 behind at halftime and a Jett Cleary try midway through the second half pulled them back within two points at 24-26 but Melbourne went 34-26 ahead and held onto their eight-point advantage.
