Another record-breaking year for crowd numbers has seen the One New Zealand Warriors’ total attendances for regular season home and away games grow by a phenomenal 62 per cent since their last pre-Covid home-based campaign in 2019.
In that time the aggregate attendance for home games has shot up by 57 per cent while the increase in away crowds has been even more remarkable at 67 per cent.
In 2019, the Warriors’ last home-based campaign before the Covid pandemic struck, the total attendance for the club’s 12 home games including the Magic Round was 193,756, an average of 16,146 a game.
In the first season back home in 2023, that number had shot up to 272,220 (average 22,685 a game) and then 295,302 (average 24,608 a game) last year including history-making sell outs of all 11 home games played in New Zealand. The attendance aggregate also topped the club record of 290,946 set in the Warriors’ landmark debut season in 1995.
This year the Warriors have gone to another level by topping 300,000 in total attendance for home games for the first time with a final tally of 304,581 (average 25,382 a game).
