An epic battle of the packs is in store when the One New Zealand Warriors and Cronulla Sutherland face off at Sharks Stadium today (5.30pm kick-off local time; 7.30pm NZT).

The clash pits two of the best forward packs in the competition against each other with captain James Fisher-Harris leading the Warriors' charge and Addin Fonua-Blake doing likewise for the Sharks against his former club.

Cronulla has won six of their last eight games at the venue but the Warriors have prevailed in absolute thrillers in their last two visits to Sharks Stadium, 32-30 in 2023 and 30-28 in Shaun Johnson's final game.

Fisher-Harris has helped his side climb into the top four on the ladder but will need to stand tall after Mitchell Barnett tore his ACL in last week's win over the Rabbitohs.

While they have traditionally struggled on the road in the past, Andrew Webster's men have been on song in Australia this year, winning five of six.

Team news

Sharks: No late changes 24 hours out. The loss of Ronaldo Mulitalo to suspension is offset by fellow winger Sione Katoa's early return from a shoulder injury. Back-rower Teig Wilton is also back from a shoulder injury suffered in round seven so Billy Burns slides to 18th man.

One New Zealand Warriors: Jackson Ford will start the game after Mitch Barnett suffered a season-ending ACL injury against Souths. Hard-running back-rower Leka Halasima has been promoted to the starting side so Kurt Capewell moves to centre to fill in for Rocco Berry (hamstring). Jacob Laban and Tanner Stowers-Smith are the new faces on the bench. Cronulla junior Sam Healey remained in the extended squad alongside Taine Tuaupiki when it was trimmed to 19 players 24-hours from game day, with no changes to the 17.
