Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Shaun Johnson and Wayde Egan split six Dally M points between them for their displays in the One New Zealand Warriors’ 20-12 fourth-round NRL win over the Newcastle Knights on Sunday.

Having his first start at fullback since 2021, Tuivasa-Sheck was awarded three points while halfback Johnson collected two and hooker Egan one in his first match since round one.

The other six points available went to Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga (4) and second rower Tyson Frizzell (2).

With Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Taine Tuaupiki unavailable, Tuivasa-Sheck was outstanding in the #1 jersey with game-high numbers for runs (29), metres gained (283) and post-contact metres (103) plus equal most tackle breaks (7).

Johnson directed the Warriors expertly making 77 metres from 15 runs with two line break assists, a try assist, two tackle breaks, 75 receipts, 51 passes and 624 metres from 21 kicks plus 23 tackles.

In his return from an elbow injury, Egan made an immediate impact with his craft around dummy half including a sizzling break up the middle to put Chanel Harris-Tavita in for the team’s second try. In an error-free 80-minute effort he made 74 metres from five runs with 119 passes from 122 receipts and he executed 41 tackles without a miss.
