Jersey Flegg Team List: Chasing bounceback

After a challenging re-entry into the competition last week, the One New Zealand Warriors will seek to balance the ledger when they face the Storm in their round two Jersey Flegg Cup (under-21) clash on Saturday night (7.00pm kick-off NZT).

And they’ll have the chance to do it on a big stage with their matchup being the curtain-raiser to the NRL encounter between the two clubs.

Coming back into the competition for the first time in five years, the Warriors faced a daunting mission taking on Cronulla Sutherland at Pukekohe’s Navigation Ho0mes Stadium last Sunday.

The Sharks were a top four Jersey Flegg side last season and there were encouraging signs when the Warriors went to halftime just 6-14 down.

However, the visitors came out strongly in the second half to win 38-10.

Like the Warriors, The Storm, who finished sixth last season, had a difficult opening match losing 14-36 to St George Illawarra.
