SG Ball Team List: Key test against Raiders

Sunday’s clash against Canberra shapes as pivotal to the One New Zealand Warriors’ 2024 SG Ball Cup (under-19) campaign when the two sides meet in the second leg of a pathways triple header at Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe.

Both teams sit on six points just one point outside the top six, the Warriors seventh on points for and against with the Raiders 10th.

Canberra travels to New Zealand buoyed by an outstanding 44-4 win over Penrith while the Warriors missed a winning chance when they fell to a 24-32 loss to third-placed Illawarra.

The home side is showing some changes, boosted by co-captain Kayliss Fatialofa returning in the second row from suspension with a new face at standoff in Tallan Egan, younger brother of One New Zealand Warriors NRL hooker Wayde Egan.

The Warriors’ three wins have come against North Sydney (48-12), South Sydney (44-14) and Balmain (20-6) while they’ve lost to the Eels, Roosters and Steelers.

Canberra’s wins have come against the Sharks, Bulldogs and Panthers with losses to the Knights, Steelers and Magpies.
