Defeats on road for club's pathways teams

Two losses on the road for the One New Zealand Warriors when they faced the Sydney Roosters in an SG Ball Cup-Harold Matthews Cup double header on the Central Coast today.

The under-17 Harold Matthews side went down 18-28 while the Roosters prevailed 32-16 in the under-19 SG Ball fixture.

The Roosters the extended their advantage to 28-12 advantage in the second half, holding on to win by 10 points.

Following their 48-12 win over North Sydney last week, the One New Zealand Warriors had the chance to measure themselves against the unbeaten Roosters but had a disappointing first half going to halftime 0-20 down.

The score-line blew out to 26-0 early in the second half but the Warriors then bit their way into the contest with a run of three tries to close it up to 16-26 before the Roosters finished the scoring for a 32-16 victory.
