GWM joins sponsorship family on two-year deal

Global car giant GWM has broken new ground by signing as the One New Zealand Warriors’ new automotive partner.

The multi-year deal is the company’s first club partnership in New Zealand.

“These are exciting times for us as we welcome new partners following our highly successful year on and off the field,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager commercial and consumer business Glenn Critchley.

“Beginning a relationship with GWM is even more special because it’s a first for both of us in what is a major breakthrough sponsorship.”

In addition to providing a fleet of vehicles for the One New Zealand Warriors, GWM will have its name on the sternum position of the jerseys for each of the club’s five teams this season in the NRL, New South Wales Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, SG Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup.

GWM will also have naming rights to the game day entertainment area at the northern end of Go Media Stadium; Precinct 95 will now be known as the GWM Fan Zone.

In another feature of the partnership GWM will run a game day best seats activation beside the East Stand tunnel.

“As we continue to grow the GWM business in New Zealand, this exciting new partnership with the One New Zealand Warriors has come at just the right time,” said GWM New Zealand National Sales Manager, Sean Tupp.

“With our range of tough and highly-capable SUVs and utes, there’s a real synergy between GWM and the NZ Warriors.

We look forward to working with the Warriors and to shared mutual success in the coming years.”

GWM’s range of utes, Haval SUVs, Tank Off-road and Ora EV covering diesel, petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains are available from GWM’s nationwide network of dealers.
