Sironen finds new home after finishing with club

Hard-working utility Bayley Sironen has signed with Super League club Les Catalans after ending his three seasons with the One New Zealand Warriors.

After making his NRL debut with the Wests Tigers in 2017, the 26-year-old spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons with South Sydney before joining the One New Zealand Warriors.

His first two seasons with the club were spent based in Australia due to the Covid pandemic before he was able to experience life in Auckland and an unforgettable final campaign in 2023.

“Bayley did a tremendous job for us coming to the club during the challenging times when we were stuck in Australia,” said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.

“We’re grateful for the contribution he made on the field and around the team and the club off it. He brought a lot of energy around the place and we wish him the very best in France.”

Sironen had just 24 NRL games to his name when he joined the One New Zealand Warriors but took his career tally to 81 with 57 appearances for the club.

After an injury-disrupted 2022 restricted him to 12 games he had his busiest season in 2023, used from the interchange in each of his 25 appearances missing only the opening round against the Knights and the Magic Round match against the Panthers.
