Confirmed line-up: As selected

No late changes for the One New Zealand Warriors as they prepare to face the Roosters in today’s second-round NRL encounter at the new Allianz Stadium in Sydney (3.00pm kick-off local time; 5.00pm NZT).

They’ll line up as selected on Tuesday with back rower Bayley Sironen confirmed as 18th man as he returns from a minor knee injury.

Centre Viliami Vailea is 19th man.

Freddy Lussick, Ronald Volkman and Taine Tuaupiki were omitted from the game day last night to play for the club’s New South Wales Cup side in today’s curtain raiser at Allianz Stadium.

After savouring success in his debut match as a head coach, Andrew Webster has been able to call on the same 17 players used in the 20-12 win over the Newcastle Knights at Sky Stadium in Wellington last Friday night.

With seasoned winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak out for a month with a calf injury, Edward Kosi again starts on the right wing after being called up as a replacement last week.

The 24-year-old marked his inclusion with his eighth try in his last eight games and now has a total of 10 tries in his 17-match career.

There was one change among the five players on the extended bench with Sironen returning from the knee injury which ruled him out of contention for the opening round.

Today’s match is the first at the new look Allianz Stadium for the One New Zealand Warriors after playing their last three away games against the Roosters at the Sydney Cricket Ground while the ground was being built. It will be only the fourth time the stadium has been used for an NRL match.

The contest will edge two One New Zealand Warriors players closer to major milestones.

Captain Tohu Harris will play his 199th career match leaving him in line to reach the 200-game mark in the round-three match against North Queensland in Townsville on March 18.

New signing Marata Niukore will appear in his 98th career game to be on track to reach his 100th in the club’s first Mount Smart Stadium match of the season against the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs on March 26.

The One New Zealand Warriors and the Roosters are coming off contrasting displays in the first round. While the Warriors toppled the Knights, the Roosters fell 18-28 to the Dolphins in the new club’s debut in the competition.
