Injury report: Murdoch-Masila still being assessed

No date has yet been set for forward Ben Murdoch-Masila’s return from a leg injury which forced him off the field during the Vodafone Warriors’ fourth-round win over Brisbane last Saturday.

Murdoch-Masila had been on the field just 18 minutes in his return to the side after turning out for feeder club Redcliffe the previous two weeks in the Queensland Cup.

The full extent of the injury to his right ankle/foot is still being assessed.

Murdoch-Masila was the victim of a 71st-minute tackle which resulted in Brisbane’s Thomas Flegler landing a grade three dangerous contact charge and a subsequent two-match ban.

Halfback Ash Taylor continues to undergo assessment and treatment for a hip injury he aggravated in his debut for the club against Gold Coast in the second round.

Winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is line to return from his broken hand in late April-early May.
