Round 19 charges: Thompson, Herbert receive bans

Bulldogs forward Luke Thompson was unsuccessful at the judiciary on Tuesday night and received a three-match ban for his late hit on Sharks hooker Blayke Brailey.

Titans centre Patrick Herbert had more luck with his careless high tackle charge downgraded from a grade two to a grade one, meaning his two-week ban was reduced to one match.

Thompson, who was sin-binned for the incident in Sunday's loss at Cbus Super Stadium, was charged with grade-two dangerous contact.

The English lock could have reduced the ban to two matches with an early guilty plea.

Bulldogs centre Will Hopoate, who has copped a fine of $1150 for dangerous contact on Cronulla winger Ronaldo Mulitalo, was the only other player charged from Sunday's fixtures.

Flegler charged for tackle on Yeo

Brisbane forward Thomas Flegler has been banned for two games for his ninth-minute high tackle on Isaah Yeo in his side's loss to Penrith. Flegler was looking at a three-match ban if he contested the grade-three careless high tackle.

Rabbitohs lock Cameron Murray has accepted a one-game ban for a crusher tackle charge.

Aloiai charged for tackle on Seyfarth

Warriors prop Matt Lodge and Manly counterpart Josh Aloiai have accepted one-game bans, Lodge on a contrary conduct offence and Aloiai a grade-two sanction for dangerous contact.

Brisbane winger Jamayne Isaako was also charged following a review of Saturday's games, but his grade one high-tackle only attracted a fine of $750.

Lodge charged with contrary conduct

Melbourne's Nicho Hynes was fined for a careless high tackle, $1150 for a grade-one tackle on North Queensland's Jake Granville in the 76th minute of Melbourne's 20-16 win on Friday.

There were no charges from the NRL match review committee following Thursday night's Raiders v Eels clash.
