Warriors 2021 NRL Fantasy guide

They were everyone's favourite team after relocating to Australia to keep the 2020 season alive, and now the Warriors are out to take a leap back into finals contention.

Players to watch

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck

The runaway winner of the 2020 Dally M Captain of the Year award, Tuivasa-Sheck was an inspiration on and off the field for the Warriors last season and was a typically strong performer in Fantasy as well.

His season average of 46.7 points per game put him a run below the very top performers (60-point players James Tedesco and Kalyn Ponga) but also makes him a cheaper option than that pair if you're looking to secure a keeper early on.

With the ability to go large on his day – such as his two-try score of 93 against the Knights or an 11 tackle-bust score of 82 against the Titans – RTS can also have the occasional quite game, with three scores in the 20s last season.

Analysing the Warriors' 2021 draw

Euan Aitken

Aitken begins 2021 as one of the more reliable centre options available, having switched from the Dragons in the off-season.

A natural tackle-breaker whose game suits Fantasy nicely, he scored 44 points per game when playing at least 70 minutes – but comes at a slight discount after a couple of games off the bench in the early rounds.

With only four tries to his name last year, there is some upside if you expect the Warriors to give Aitken more try-scoring opportunities this season.

All in: Inside the Warriors' 2020 season

Tohu Harris

A dual-position middle/edge forward in 2021, Harris spent most of 2020 playing big minutes in the middle of the field despite being named in the second row. That sent his Fantasy value skyrocketing, with a career-best 60.2 points per game.

With few errors in attack or defence and a terrific workload with 170 run metres and 42 tackles per week, Harris was one of the safest options around last year and there's no reason he can't repeat that effort.

Wayde Egan

Egan averaged 41 Fantasy points a game when starting at hooker last year (playing 70 minutes per game, including four 80-minute games) but is priced at 33 after spending the second half of the season coming off the bench.

He looks set for an extended run in the starting side with rival hooker Karl Lawton sidelined long-term after having Achilles surgery, and could be a strong bench option and mid-range cash cow.
