Round 12 charges: Saulo out for two; Su'A cops ban

Souths forward Jaydn Su'A has received a one-match ban after being charged over a late tackle on Dragons skipper Cameron McInnes.

The match review committee charged him with grade-one dangerous contact after he tackled McInnes after he'd passed the ball in the 79th minute of the Rabbitohs' win at Kogarah on Thursday night.

Su'A was unsuccessful at the judiciary on Tuesday night and will miss one match.

Due to two prior non-similar charges on his record, he was set to miss a match even if he submitted an early guilty plea.

Knights forward Pasami Saulo will miss two matches after the club announced he will take an early guilty plea over a dangerous contact charge.

Saulo, who came into contact with the legs of Storm halfback Jahrome Hughes as he was kicking the ball was facing a three-week ban if he challenged the charge at the judiciary and lost.

Fellow Knight Chris Randall will be free to face the Wests Tigers after the club said he would also enter an early guilty plea. He will have 75 carry-over points against his name for a grade one dangerous contact charge.

Bulldogs hooker Jeremy Marshall-King was the only other player charged on Sunday. Like Randall, he can avoid suspension by pleading guilty to a grade one dangerous contact charge.

Sharks debutant Jackson Ferris has been suspended for a shoulder charge on Brisbane's Herbie Farnworth after his first game in the top grade, with four other players also charged from Friday night's games.

Ferris placed on report

Ferris entered an early guilty plea on Monday to receive a one-match ban which could have doubled if he challenged the charge at the judiciary and lost.

He suffered a knee injury on debut anyway and is out for a month.

Meanwhile, Brisbane's Jake Turpin (dangerous contact – other) and Warriors trio Peta Hiku, Eliesa Katoa and Adam Blair (all dangerous contact – head/neck) can avoid suspensions if they enter early guilty pleas, but risk one-match bans if they unsuccessfully fight their charges.

There were no charges coming out of the three matches played on Saturday.
