Two out of casualty ward

The Vodafone Warriors’ long injury list has been reduced this week with prop Lachlan Burr and centre Peta Hiku cleared to return in Friday night’s fifth-round encounter with the North Queensland Cowboys at Central Coast Stadium in Gosford.

Burr has been named to make his first appearance of the revived season after missing the matches against St George Illawarra and Penrith while Hiku was forced off the field after 25 minutes of the game against the Dragons.

While they have made progress winger Ken Maumalo and back rower Josh Curran are still out with hamstring injuries and loose forward Jazz Tevaga is expected to be sidelined for another few weeks.
