Vodafone Warriors and local clubs join forces

Auckland Rugby League clubs have been given an incentive-based opportunity to work alongside the Vodafone Warriors to sell memberships for the 2019 NRL season.

Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George outlined the offer when he addressed delegates at the ARL’s annual conference today.

“We’re delighted the Auckland Rugby League has agreed to support us in this initiative which will benefit both the clubs and the game as a whole,” he said.

“The incentive for the clubs is a $10 rebate for every membership they sell. So, if a club sells 100 memberships, they’ll receive $1000.

“It’s a great opportunity. The more the clubs sell, the better.”

Clubs are encouraged to push membership sales from now through to March 15, 2019, the day before the Vodafone Warriors launch their landmark 25th season with a home game against Canterbury-Bankstown at Mount Smart Stadium on Saturday, March 16 (5.00pm kick-off).

This is how the offer will work.

  • At the time of purchase, the customer should enter their club name into the Ticketmaster code line. So, for Bay Roskill, they’d enter VIKINGS, for Glenora they’d enter BEARS and so on. This is so each club’s sales can be tracked.
  • On March 16, the number of memberships sold by each club will be tallied up and a payment of $10 per membership will be arranged.

*The $10 rebate per membership sold will be paid to the club after round one of the NRL season.
