Hooker Issac Luke and second rower Tohu Harris have been ruled out of the Vodafone Warriors’ 20th-round NRL encounter with the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium in Robina on Sunday (2.00pm kick-off local time; 4.00pm NZT).

Harris (knee) and Luke (calf) were named in the 21-man squad on Tuesday in the hope they would be able to play this week.

Harris had surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee after the June 29 match against Cronulla. While he trained with the squad this week he hasn’t fully recovered and will be missing from the line-up for the fourth week running after earlier being side-lined for the games against Penrith, Brisbane and Melbourne.

He wasn’t with the Vodafone Warriors when they landed in Coolangatta this afternoon and nor was Luke.

Luke’s calf injury restricted him to 52 minutes in last Sunday’s 6-12 loss to Melbourne.

It’s hoped he and Harris will be fit for the 21st-round encounter with St George Illawarra in Wollongong on Saturday, August 4.

The final 17-man squad for Sunday’s match against the Titans will be confirmed an hour before kick-off.
