Top-of-the-table Newcastle handed the Vodafone Junior Warriors their heaviest defeat of the season as they put together a nine-tries-to-one 54-6 win in today’s Jersey Flegg Cup match in Cessnock.

The Knights race to a 30-6 lead at halftime and barely relented in the second half.

Showing some changes to their line-up, the Vodafone Junior Warriors snared their only try of the day early in the second half before the home side surged further ahead.
