The Vodafone Warriors' preseason slog began for the advance guard today with new head of performance Alex Corvo setting the agenda.

A group of 20 players was on hand to get an early taste to Corvo's methods.

The Vodafone Warriors have 14 players on Rugby League World Cup duty; they're not due to return to training until early in the New Year.

The contingent starting out was made up of a spread of the club's 2017 NRL, Intrust Super Premiership and NYC players plus new signing Leivaha Pulu. Other NRL players on hand were Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Nathaniel Roache, Isaiah Papali'i, Mason Lino and Chris Satae while ISP regulars Sam Cook, Pat Sipley and Junior Pauga were also there plus King Vuniyayawa.

Among the younger players were Chanel Harris-Tavita, Joe Vuna, Lewis Soosemea, Kenese Kenese, Tyler Slade, Kane Telea, Melino Fineanganofo, Israel Ogden, Soane Hufanga and Christian Tuipulotu.

Blake Ayshford, Issac Luke, James Gavet, Albert Vete, Ligi Sao, Manaia Cherrington, Zac Santo and new signing - and former Vodafone Junior Warrior - Matiu Love-Henry join the preseason squad in the coming days while NRL premiership winner Tohu Harris links up with his new team-mates at the end of the month.
