Check out all the results and points-scorers from the seven matches in the first week of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, Papua New Guinea and Fiji won as expected, the latter four all putting on plenty of points.

Lebanon and France were locked at 18-18 late in their contest before the Cedars pulled away for a 29-18 victory.

The big upset of the opening weekend came in the early game in Cairns where the Ireland Wolfhounds stunned a high-quality Italy Azzurri side 36-12.
